Your Still The Best.

I smile while my cousin
Cooks his first meal for
his dad,Im glad he can.
Then as his swivel chair
Stops spinning,I look out
of his small bedsit Window
And see a toddler with his
Dad, playing in the park
across the way.
Minutes pass,yet it
Only feels like seconds.
Then A smell of roast lamb
Lifts me up away from his
Bay window and walk towards
The modern glass dining table
And see my dad all smiling
back at me.
I walk past the
Picture that sits so
Still and silent on
My cousins shelf of
His dad and mine
On a fishing trip,
And a tear rolls down
My eye,but I take a deep
Breath not to upset
James and my uncle
After all its their
Day to.
But tears do flow
Deeply within on this
Not so happy fathers Day,
And every day.If only I
Could hear your wise words
Or unhappy grunts or just
Having a game of trumps.
But not one day passes
Without you being thought
Of, and especially days
Like this.And so when I
Get back home,I will
Look to the sky as I say
Good night and today
Say Thanks for still being
The best dad in the world.
