At the jam sesh at the vaults on wedsnay night
were pete and pete and rach and tim and chris.
Pete piped and fluted, hippy pete guitarred
and tim and chris and martin guitarred too,
and rach (cos roy had not showed up
with tambourine to lend)
played barstool. Next mornin,
aftrer part-time job of course,
she bought tambrine (cos barstools
got no bells)and membred
dedries' songs and made new words
(for music was the thing that kept her right).
And now I'll rhyme it - every woman and man
that was playing in the vaults was raising Pan.

Interesting. Not sure what it means but still I enjoyed it. 'Dedries songs and made new words' seems to me what you are doing here too.

not sure how to play a barstool. Or any other musical instrument, come think of it. But there's lots of energy here.

Hi Elsie,
just been searching through your older pieces and found this. You brought back memories of my own. We used to drink in a pub in Swindon called the Beehive on a Sunday afternoon. They would have live bands playing and sometimes people would get up and jam, fun times they were and a place to look forward to after a weeks work. Happy Days!
Glad I found this.
Jenny.
