you read me very easily
you sense my every whim
you see the light that shines in me
yes, even when it's dim
.
you pick up my emotions
you take walks among my thoughts
you see the patterns of my mind
and you connect the dots
.
you know my awkward angles
some acute and some obtuse
you read me very easily
like you read doctor suess
.
you read me very easily
each paragraph and word
you even read between the lines
though that may sound absurd
.
although my inner language
may be alien at times
you probe the meaning deep within
deciphering the rhymes
.
you strive to make me happy
when you see i am in pain
you read me very easily
like you read dick and jane
.
you read me very easily
the signals made of smoke
you know when i am serious
and when i merely joke
.
you never turn your back on me
when i deserve it most
you pull me up the slope
when i am on a downward coast
.
when ugly is my world
you make it pretty as you please
you read me very easily
like you read ABCs

Hi Alvin,  some great thoughts here...telling of being in tune with someone close.  I especially like the fifth stanza,  it's a real soul mate, who takes the time to understand you when others can't.  Very much enjoyed reading and thank you for sharing this beauty.  Jenny.
