Vexatious Wind

I nearly recollect your face
on that vivid eve we met,
the somber, penisve glaze
coating your eyes
breathing in first times-
pangs that ring of new love.
In my divide
I loved you unto your demise
the pulse and strike
of this tarnished reverie.
Whatever I was
in those fluid folds
of your memory
I left in the careless creases
of flawed expectations-
a faltering of my own damaged parts
the ever-evolving chrysalis from which
I came
I forgot who I was
delving and curling beneath your palms
the unsettled ache
before the release
and may you have
a better day
without me
in your life to come
as the vexatious wind jitters, at Fall
to your unwarranted dismay
I must find my way
alone.
