The Meaning of Stars

I cannot read the words that heaven writes,

in twinkling ink of stars across the night

and yet their startling beauty speaks to me

more than one million lines of poetry.

Compared to the bright look in heavens eyes,

all of mankind’s great wisdom seems less wise;

mere nonsense, his discoveries and proofs

and Nature’s beauty like the only truth.

I love to look at the stars. The sky has been very twinkly these past few nights, and it does make you wonder.
