Primroses and sunshine,
a blaze of celandine
tired trees look dreary
waiting, naked, weary
but here and there buds burst,    
leaves and flowers sheltered, trapped,
unwrapped;
a balmy day, a peaceful stroll
unwinding, finding
the sounds of birds, and tumbling water
so soothing under wide and cloudless sky,
you and I.

What  lovely opening and closing lines.  Signs the trees are waking up too.  A lovely uplifting poem.
