remembering the moments

while forgetting all the years

this swirling panorama

will confuse the eyes and ears

.

your mind is more selective

searches out the richest veins

revealing golden moments

while removing blackened stains

.

when voices have grown silent

and your eyes are stricken blind

the riches that remain

will still be safe within your mind

'remembering the moments while forgetting all the years' struck a chord in my mind with an elderly lady living with us whose time-scale of memories is getting very confused.
Also a good reminder that good memories may stay when blind and deaf. Rhiannon
