The pain!

A loss I feel for you and can't contain.

My feelings - remain unchanged.

Fresh wounds that appear

that they will never heal.

Forever open, broken heart

weeps an unheard appeal.

The grief hit me this morning -

like a sledgehammer

as I opened my eyes,

and triggered unending,

anguished cries.

Consumed with sadness...

Tears fall.

I know I'll get through,

but right now all I can think of

is you.
