Bringer of news, bearer of ends,

Do you know how much this sweet lie pretends?

Now is the time, here is the hour;

I’m breaking myself of your thick, dark power,

Surrendering a few old dreams,

For you’re on your way…I must find the means.

Ender of games, bender of truth,

I’ve been enthralled since the end of my youth;

Now it’s too late, drawn is the line -

Tonight, I’ve finally run out of time;

Remembering a few old laughs,

On reaching the fork, we’ll divide our paths.

Breaker of hearts, maker of tears,

Imagine if I could steal back the years!

Now it’s my chance, loaded the dice;

I’m rolling in hope of a pain-free slice…

Gathering up the cord to cut -

But it won’t be clean, I know in my gut.

Teller of lies, wearer of masks,

Where was your heart when the question was asked?

Now you’ve spun gold, altered the stake…

I hope you believe the promise you make,

Fathoming the depths of your soul;
