Silent invisible silk invaders
weaving micro-fingers into
log and stump. Unhurried
infiltration of cellulose fibres
which part like well roasted
pork falling from the bone.
Unseen through summer,
well fed on spongy wood.
Their presence advertised
in winter with, "do not eat
me" sulphur yellow flags.

Beautiful, original images of pork, spongy wood and sulphur flags. The 'until' in line 5 jars a bit but can't explain why. Well crafted.
