in youth, we all are ignorant
but some find out in time
the things of greatest value
will not set us back a dime
.
its wise to build a bank account
but one not made of cash
a vault filled up with jewels
that we have found among the trash
.
the dearest forms of treasure
neither can be bought or sold
plucking nuggets from the rubbish
sifting through the muck for gold
.
we're all a jigsaw puzzle
once the borders have been set
we search for missing pieces
trying all that we can get
.
if things do not connect with ease
don't stop to wonder why
the smartest thing that we can do
is toss them to the sky
.
will the picture be completed ?
for a lucky few, it will
finding rainbows in a tempest
coaxing warmth from winter's chill
