thnaks Sandy - - - I'll get those ' straightened out.  Delighted you're hooked.  Hoe you stay hooked because it was partly your comment on the old ending that had me back at the drawing board and pretty much starting again.  I think it's certainly true for thrillers, maybe all novels, that the end writes the beginning and the rest just holds them together.  As soon as your comment sunk in it was bound to be the long haul (again!  after the thrashing of Irran).  Anyway I hope the rewrite sustains the tension (coincidences apart) to the very end.  No fizzle.
