Sometimes

Sometimes you know you’re a lucky man

when, despite the things you’ve done,

life gives you all that you need, and more

and you wonder just how it can be

Sometimes I’m amazed to see what I have

when I look around and I feel the love

that’s coming my way

and I can’t understand how it all came to be

Sometimes I hear the words of friends

and think that I’m in a dream

that rolls on in the cold light of dawn

and I ask myself how can it be?
