There was once a young girl, a Dreamer who was kidnapped by a Dreamkiller and locked within a dark tower.
This didn't frighten the Dreamer however because as soon as she was taken up to her room in the tower, she dreamed that she had a pair of brightly painted wings upon her back and flew out of the window.
But as she was escaping the tower, the Dreamkiller shouted, "Those wings aren't real".
And when the Dreamkiller shouted this, the Dreamer lost her faith in the wings and the moment this happened, the wings began to fade and the dreamer started to fall.
And as she was falling, she cried out in fear.
Fortunately, the Dreamkiller caught the dreamer in his net.
Unfortunately, he then locked her back up again in the tower.
But the Dreamer was not deterred because then she dreamt of a ladder long enough to reach from her tower to ground with rungs of every bright colour and, lowering it out of the window, she started to climb down the ladder.
As she was half way down the tall ladder however, the Dreamkiller, coming out and seeing her escaping shouted again, "That ladder isn't real".
And when the Dreamkiller shouted this, the Dreamer lost her faith in the ladder and, one by one the brightly coloured rungs of the ladder began to disappear until, the rung she was standing on vanishing, the dreamer bagan to fall again.
And as she was falling, she cried out in panic.
Fortunately, the Dreamkiller caught the dreamer in a sack.
Unfortunately, he then locked her back up again in the tower.
But the dreamer still had a dream left in her heart, a dream of a giant balloon, a brightly coloured dream baloon filled up with so many happy dreams that it was lighter than air and, holding onto the balloon, the dreamer floated out of the window of her prison and then higher and higher towards the blue sky.
As she floating up towards the clouds, however, far below she saw the little dreamkiller come out of its tower and, grinning, look up at her.
"Oh no", she thought, "What will I do. That dreamkiller will only kill my dream again and this is the last dream I have left and without dreams, I'll die inside".
Just then however, the Dreamer looked at the clouds and thought they looked a little like cottonwool and so, snatching two large handfulls of cloud the dreamer stuffed them in her ears.
Then the Dreamkiller did as he had done twice before.
In a condescending voice and with a smirk of ridicule he shouted,
"That baloon isn't real".
This time however, because the dreamer had cotton wool in her ears, she didn't hear the dreamkiller and so, rather than bursting, her dream balloon and the happy dreams inside just kept carrying her higher and higher until, finally it carried her all the way to the moon.
Then, upon the moon, the dreamer met a handsome moon prince who lived in a brightly coloured moon castle and, together, they made all their dreams come true.
