Little Girl's Dream

I feel the essence of
this Christmas Eve
filling my senses
with fragrant warmth,
submerged in a
little girls glee
at the thought
of her smile,
before she drifts
away to dream of
sweet nothings that
will fill a sleepy space,
where night lingers
submerged in darkness,
the only sound a gentle
breathing till Christmas Morn.

Hi Jenny
Hi Jenny
Yes, I too like this poem, and the gentle reassuring sound of it.

This touched my motherly
This touched my motherly memories and warmed my heart. Children's smiles and inoocent wonder on that night are tangible and sweet and so is this poem.

Such Peace...
Your poem just sent a wave of calm and peace over me as I read and empathised with the little girl and wished I were she, remembered moments were I was... such a wonderful capturing of the essence of the Baby of The Morning :)
