Ocean

Swelling, surging, heaving, steely grey,
white-tipped waves race, chase,
press on across the bay,
crashing smash on jagged rocks,
sparks high the billowed spray.
––––––––––––––––––
Sunshine, breeze, and placid calm,
bright and blue, a tranquil balm,
power stilled, no thought of danger, harm,
– wiped out, erased
all signs of fierce and forceful, lashing storm.

Wonderful use of the words -
Wonderful use of the words - read aloud, the sounds really evoke both the storm and the calm afterwards.

Love the contrast in this
Love the contrast in this Rhiannon, your descriptions are so evocative. A rough sea is so entertaining, from a safe distance, I loved 'sparks high the billowed spray'. A calm sea is inviting. Your piece makes me makes me miss the sea
