A stitch in time …

… (and of horse-shoes etc)
Procrastination,
mañana:
seams unravel,
‘ladders’ travel,
minor fault –
then grinding halt,
dyke unrestored –
sea-waters poured,
loose horse-shoe nail –
defences fail,
a hurt or grudge
that’s left to drift
til forms a wedge
and widening rift
that’s hard to bridge …
a stitch in time
saves nine,
saves peace,
saves lives …

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
This is great. I like the quotes, and how you expand and interpret them.
And so true.
