In the square with a wedding party

Sitting under a tree in my square,
having a quiet smoke.
The wind is hot.
Cicadas are chirping
and there's a wedding at the church.
The cicadas go crazy every time the wind blows.
I'm reading Ginsberg and resting from recording backing tracks
on the electric guitar, where I sweated it out in T shirt and shorts.
I'm still sweating.
Now I'm going over the road to buy bread and sangria,
then back to record one last track.
World Pride is going on in town, at the end of Alcalá street.
My ankle hurts and I don't have the energy to go,
so I'll eat my bread and some humous,
drink the sangria and sing vocals in the empty house.

Can't believe I missed this
Can't believe I missed this one. Didn't know you were musical as well as a writer. I'm learning something everyday about the writers on abc tales.
I too enjoyed reading and hope your ankle gets better.
Jenny.
