I dreamt about chastising my dad
for pissing on the seat
Better not to think about the cancers
eating us away
My death – your life

I'm pretty sure what prose it
I'm pretty sure what prose it, but poetry has me shaking my head and thinking strange thoughts with a hint of dread. Sometimes, often, I don't know where the line is to go. And a stanza leaves me bare. Doesn't matter how much I stare. What is in my head, translates into something else instead.

Poetry is poetic words,
Poetry is poetic words, sounds, ideas, shapes, structures and the spaces and line breaks in between. In my experience the hard bit is creating it. I like your poem.

IMO you can put anything you
IMO you can put anything you like into a poem. Also a lot of poets seem to think there is a law of poetic rationing ie 'one idea per poem'. There is not.
