Seems often can be a distraction from careful thought about what heard/read and consideration of information received, whether true or false, and the consequences, correlating things (as you say, 'zombie like, where's their head' seems just fingers 'flicking, flicking'); and also relationship and friendship/people needs. (Though I would say, 'Man created for what' rather than 'man evolved to what')

Hi Edward,
Hi Edward,
this poem bought to mind a trip out to town with an old friend. It was a complete waste of time me going out with her, as she spent all her time on her phone clicking away as you said, showing me photos of people I didn't even know and playing games, hardly interested in what I had to say. We'd been friends since school and it was such a shock to discover how much we'd changed. Needless to say I never saw her again.
You definitely hit the nail on the head with this one.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I've never owned an iphone or any other kind of mobile phone and never will. Some may say that's silly because one day it might come in handy, but they're just not my thing.
Sorry I drifted from your poem. I thought you made a valid statement in this poem.
Jenny.

Brilliant, particularly the second stanza. Expressing so well something seen every day. Makes me uneasy. Like Jennifer I don't have a phone. Feel like a different species :0)
