D oors that stick and do not budge,
O ften the work of amateur bodgers
I nstead of skilled professional men
T ell us that we mustn’t begrudge
Y en, dollars, pounds, wisely spent
O n new constructions even when
U nforseen costs suddenly emerge.
R ather than risk someone’s safety
S urely it’s better to act prudently,
E nsure we employ a lot of care
L est we put lives at a great risk
F or the sake of a few pence saving .

Not always wise to do it yourself! We have constant irritations when doing something or getting something done as we discover the odd way things were tackled in the past, and the short-cuts that later cause trouble. Rhiannon
