We are not alone:

I will make Pascal's wager

not with God but with someone

- something-  out there, beyond

the reach of optical telescopy.

 

However impossible,

their absence may be fact

- or this absence is their answer,

perhaps we are too primitive

to be other than their "they".

 

They might be giants

and we just peopling

their sub-atomic particles,

oblivious to an enormity

so vast as to seem infinite.

 

Somewhere,

over Gravity's Rainbow perhaps,

there are others

as strange as any conjured thing

between the b and g

of big,

or bang,

or beginning.

Kind of reminds me of a game our family played at Christmas we called it, "Consequences."

I get your point (I think)

Link 1 - Buddism is a great idea, pity Buddist countries like Myanamar, Thailand and China don't get it. 

Link 2 - You don't like Trump --- who does? He's just a passing fart.

Link 3 - Trump is a dangerous asshole -- agree! He's just a passing fart (like Hitler)

Link 4 - We are not alone except we are really. Space is so vast, by the time we get a message from aliens they will have gone extinct and we'll be extinct by the time they get ours. No doubt there are hundreds of thousands of intelligent societies in the universe right now but all too far away in space and time for any to meet. ....Even Gods.

Am I right? or am I (like DJT) also an asshole?

it's not a writing exercise, at least not one that I've heard of. Except it is one in the sense that it's a task I set myself. How many links will I do? 42? Maybe.

Yes, that's pretty much how it goes, what will I post tomorrow? I don't know either, I haven't written it yet.

Trump may be a passing fart, but, you know, he could to prove to be as toxic as Zyklon B, which made Hitler a very dangerous passing fart indeed.
 

As for #4, "we are not alone, except we are really" very succinct. However, you could add "or everyone's ignoring us" and "will we recognise them if they turn up?"

That's the important bit. 

I like the idea of 42 links. You'd do Douglas proud. 

And to be honest I hope they (aliens) are ignoring us and continue to do so ... or to put it another way: 

Be careful what you wish for.

(I mean who wants to go in a lift that can see into the future?)

Smile. Yes. I also think about the scale possibility. Here we are busy looking for something in the vastness on our own scale, when it might be trying to detect mythical particles in one of which everything we know exists.
