Thank you, Jenny. I was struck by this when we were out yesterday. I was in the car, but was able to stop to take a photo of the effects I was noticing. A couple of other shorties about scenes seen have been on my mind, but too late to capture in photo what impressed on my mind in words. So, I think they'd best stand alone without photos! Rhiannon

they DO  shine! I love beech trees all year round, from their pointy buds to their molten leaves on the ground. Glinting is a brilliant word, beech leaves are so smooth, they always seem metalic

Thanks, Di. A ray of sunshine brings out the beauty. Yes, I too love the beech trees, their graceful shape and texture of trunks and branches, and spread of leaves like outstretched arms in the spring too.Rhiannon
