Fabulous frogs are the best;
with the pomp of a swamp baritone
they belch out their bubblegum chests
from bodies like glistening stones.
 
Their back legs are bowed chicken wings.
Perhaps because that's how they fly.
They're legs that are loaded with springs;
that can launch little frogs to the sky.
 
Their tongues are as quick as a flash
that lash hold of bugs in mid flight
and they make a gargantuan splash
as they leap into lakes with delight.

I love the alliteration and the wonderful images.  'Bubblegum chests' - yes indeed they are!

Love this one, have you ever heard a frog cry/squeal, sounds like a baby, rescued one from my cat - both frog and cat lived to tell the story.

Delicious read - agree about the alliteration.
