Confined

Dashing here and dashing there,
never any time to spare;
now she can but lie and stare,
watch while others work and care.
When she has a need, must ask,
wait for help to do the task,
no experience in such waiting,
days now filled with contemplating.
Will frustration make her bitter,
can she show she is no quitter,
willing to become a patient
calm, appreciative patient?
Bit by bit, grace warms her heart,
tentatively makes a start -
some abilities remain,
now endeavours these to train.
Finds some things that she can do,
even helping others too,
life’s not easy – but, who’s is?
now alert to others’ stress.

It's such an awful situation to find yourself in when you're totally reliant on others for everything. I found it hard even for the short while I was in hospital having had the hip done, when you feel a like your a nuisance but need something desperately.
I think this is a perfect example of the I P Rhiannon.

Hello Rhiannon,
Hello Rhiannon,
Your poem is a good lesson to us all because it 's a difficult thing to have to admit one needs help with certain things and I think we all fear that time in our lives when we have to accept help. A good poem but I would expect nothing less from you. I liked the tight rhyming scheme of this poem too.
