Moths

Moths are back
to feed on the fabric of our lives.
Larvae slip soft bodies
from cylindrical casings -
invisible teeth unpick
our stories -
woven with the weft
across the warp -
now laid bare.
Colour blind in the dark
they suck dye -
transform memory
into the drab beige
of dusty death.

Moths are back, but did they ever really go away? I enjoyed the weft and warp of this piece, even its dusty death.

Loved your poem. Just wish I could write like that. To me, it said so much and I'm no poet but I can appreciate one who is.
