Time Flies
By Rhiannonw
- 2002 reads
May is past, June’s ahead
– last week’s Radio Times is dead
–(or maybe not quite, somethings there
still are catchable on air
in the stores of internet,
trawling through its pool, but yet
if we choose to dabble, paddle
June may fly, while in a chair
watching lives of here and there
tasks of here and now pass by
as leisurely too long we lie).

I think we can all relate to
I think we can all relate to your poem in some way Rhiannon.
To be sure time does fly.

This is apropos to our lives
This is apropos to our lives today, for sure! I am guilty of dabbling and paddling in a chair myself! This is a cute way to point out the urgency of living that we seem to have forgotten. Short but meaningful, nicely done.

"watching lives of here and
"watching lives of here and there
tasks of here and now pass by"
