wriggle bummed bees

busy browsing discourse on roses,

pore over cool pale petal pages

of pollen gold-illumined manuscripts

gathering anthologies of anthers

before the dark age comes

 

blackbirds swift weave through

a leaf rooved hall, soft wings

cupping sound from stillness

 

a cat sprawls, long white belly up

black head under a lolling bergenia leaf

dreaming it will always be like this

Enjoyed your dreamy garden break with you! lots of concentrated thoughts, so many pictures to view! I liked the leaf rooved hall especially, and the soft wings cupping sound from stillness. and the night when even the bees have to stop their busyness. Rhiannon

You are a true artist. The way you've painted roses in words is just perfect, you didn't push too hard with the brush but the colours of your thoughts are still bold. A summer's day brought to life.
