Some times there is a flicker

in the passing pages of years,

a golden sparkle and bright colour

reaches out from the black and white

makes a reader want to put out their hand

and touch. Yet he made this sparkle and warmth

out of the stuff of bills and receipts

the very same alphabet. The letters he chose

to put next to each other were blessed

for they will be treasured for years to come
