“light’s linger-lapse of time”
by MarciaMarcia (ip)
summered sensuous flora found
hold bough laden scents abound
in dappled sun warmed shades
a-blaze the day’s long drifting sway
in breezed light’s linger-lapse of time ...held cast...make way
for leaf and petaled flower
turned autumnal coda color
hued in purple-pink, cranberry blues to yellow greens at morning’s dew
while gingered orange glow transforms to ruby’s fired light
as sudden chilled October’s dawn
betrays each petal leaf at play
releasing hold they float beyond
in sway and swirling dance
bound for where they next will lite
a-slumber....on their bed of night

I liked the tumbling hues you
I liked the tumbling hues you've brought in, and the idea of 'linger-lapse of time'. And the 'sudden chilled October’s dawn' of which we have had a few tastes already. Evocative and concentrated. Rhiannon

I like your dreamy rhythm
I like your dreamy rhythm very much. The "linger-lapse" is so beautiful, makes me think of leaf shadows and sunlight moving on the ground.
