Arn't those birds amazing
Arn't those birds amazing with the designs they make in the sky? Like your poem with it's creative images, they are magnificent to watch and the most artistic birds when in flight.
I love the idea of them looking like a scatter of black stars swirling.
Nice one Di.

What a beautiful, lyrical poem, Di, truly deserving of the cherries.
Thanks for sharing it.
I was struck by the coincidence of both of us writing about birds on the same day, yours on murmuration (starlings) and mine on wedge (geese).

Hello Di,
Hello Di,
In the past, we've had what appears to be thousands of them flying, with more groups joining the throng right over our garden, but not lately here where I live, though I've started putting food out for the birds again, but can't say I've seen any...perhaps they're all over your end, especially with your love of birds.
I still think your poem is a great tribute though.
Jenny.
