Awoke, then awaking

Fool-fears rule,
numbers and omens fed dread,
superstition addiction.
Friday 13th awoke,
and shook, bonds broke
took a look in the Book –
no capricious ‘gods’ or fickle luck
in charge,
but able management
with ears to hear,
supporting power
will make good
in time.

Superstition is addictive yes
Superstition is addictive yes. Friday 13th puts some people on edge and makes them look for the dark side in everything. 'Ears to hear, supporting power will make good in time.' words makes me instantly feel more relaxed.

I agree with
I agree with all this Jane, and further I believe this 13 business is in fact a self-fulfiling prophecy. Very simple.
All the best! Tom

Agree with Jane, your poem
Agree with Jane, your poem starts off tight and jabby then unwinds into calmness at the end.
