A Lesson In Life. Part Two.

On Sunday 9th February, my Son Daniel, told me, “My friend Jason took ill suddenly and is now in a coma.” I didn’t know this lad, but I said to Daniel, “I will pray for him.”
Yesterday morning, the following day I did indeed pray for Jason, I prayed for his family, as Daniel had showed me pictures of them the day before. But even while I was praying there sat alone on the sofa, my attention was on our cat, so in between, putting the cat out the house for the loo, I again got up and let him back in! And then out again.
To be honest, it was difficult to be passionate about someone I didn’t know, but he was important to Daniel and even more important to his family. So, I did manage to focus and hoped and prayed that all would be well with him. And eventually I felt I had ‘done my part’ for this lad. Prayer is free, time is precious, I’d given him my time, for he is precious.
A few hours later, I was with Daniel in the waiting room of the dentist, looking at his phone he suddenly said, “He’s died!” Looking at me with sadness in his eyes he said, “I can’t believe it,” And neither could I, for he had already passed away even before I had prayed for him yesterday morning. We both sat there in silence as we looked at short videos of him looking happy and well and smiling pictures of him with his friends and family.
Daniel broke the silence and said, “I saw him three days ago…..” And Andrew their other friend, a tough lad, said in the feedbacks, “I’m crying.” There was no time for Daniel to cry his name was called by the dentist, we went in together, and after checks was informed, he needed to, “Have a tooth out now,” He wanted me in the room with him, it was tough for us both!
Outside the dentist, Daniel went home and I went to the charity shops as planned, but it wasn’t the same. It had shocked me SO much, this lad, unknown to me on Saturday, was a tad older than my son and now he was gone! I couldn’t imagine what his family was going through, for there was no time for goodbyes, for he’d taken ill that quickly.
My Will lapsed April last year, I’d done it for ten years and each month have said, to myself and others, “I will get it done.”
I thought about my Will again, my Son and Jason his family and young friends, he was only twenty-five! We just don’t know about life and when it will end.
J.L. RIP. xx

Time talking to God, through
Time talking to God, through the Savioiur, and committing situations to him in faith, is never wasted, though this event might seem a puzzle. She didn't know him and difficult to know what to pray for and the cirumstances, but she presumably prayed he might be spared a while longer, but if not for God's help and comfort to those left behind in shock, and for his being prepared for death, if it had not already occurred.
