Scout's honour,
the photographer said,
this image is an accurate
portrait of you;
the camera never lies.
I knew that it was true:
the device captures what
it sees through the lens,
it couldn't be more candid.
So why doubt the lensman?
The photo showed a debonair,
attractive, cute young man.
On his head a mass of hair
well kept, but his nose
was aquiline and pilose.
The paparazzo vouched
that the picture was genuine
but my gut instinct told me
the print had been retouched
to remove any obvious flaws.
In this perfect snapshot
I don't have a double chin,
(the one I see in the mirror
every morning when I shave)
and no pimples on my skin.
The camera may be honest
but if what it produces
is not too much cop
the truth can be bent a little
by the use of Photoshop.

I like this Luigi, makes you think about the lies of a cameraman and who the lies are for. Nice ending. Rachel x

Thoughtful humor - Oh the tangled webs we weave - a snapshot tampered with blurs the truth for sure - flawless people do not truly exist and its our flaws that make us touchingly human.
Loved the Photoshop line too.
