Thinking Out Loud

I've read in ancient forest,
sung to Autumn's fallen leaves
that blew away with ease
in October's breeze,
I could recite Autumn by Keats
with significance if I had voice
and courage of fine poet,
or musician standing
on street corner
tuneful with guitar,
not rich in money
but wealthy
in harmonious
rhythm and rhyme,
with sparkling eyes like
finest white champagne,
wrapped up warm
against sweeping chills,
words dancing in uncorked mind.

Thinking not only loud but
Thinking not only loud but with a crystal clear mind, Jenny. A lovely lyrical and flowing autumnal poem. Much enjoyed.

The enjoyment of both
The enjoyment of both harmonious words and rhythm and rhyme, and views of nature around, especially in autumn giving delight to the eyes and mind like bubbling champagne! Rhiannon
