Caught in the Act

Tweedle-dumb and Tweedle-bee
thought they had found the key
of getting rid of the pandemic
but both used unconvincing polemic.
The former urging to inject bleach,
the latter threatening to impeach
those who did not follow the rules
for being uncaring and utter fools.
Tweedle-bee and Tweedle-dumb
believed they couldn't succumb:
one was a president, the other a P.M.
Surely the virus couldn't affect them?
They did and were caught in the act,
it's about time we read the riot act
and tell them to do what they say,
then maybe the public will obey
and won't disregard the firm appeal
to keep things on an even keel.
Even Tweedle-dumb and Tweedle-bee
despite their differences. must agree.

Nicely put, the rhyming's
Nicely put, the rhyming's excellent and uncontrived, and the whole thing flows effortlessly. Makes some good points too.
