Sky gods

There is rain again

for the 5th time

today, the sky gods 

rumble 

Dionysus has

wilfully drank

too much wine.

In the dark

the rippling 

drops of rain

crash softly on

the leaves.

Zeus

has some anger

management issues.

His messenger

has resorted to 

darting lights in

the night sky. 

We are at 

their mercy.

In the darkness,

the only quiet

is their stifled anger.

When we sleep,

they will set

the sky aflame.

But only the embers will

reach us, 

We awake to their sunrise.
