Friends are few and far between

Real friends are even rarer.

So caring friends are diamonds;

They are there when things go wrong.

What can we do to help?

The look on their faces tells you,

They mean it and it's not forgotten.

Friends of long standing, keep in touch.

They are there when you call them up.

They are only too pleased that you asked them,

Instead of struggling on.

You can talk to friends about anything

Knowing nothing you say will pass on.

It also follows that what you hear

Stays where it is,in your head.

So friends of mine, I'm happy

To see you when I can.
