Wall Decoration

Red brick wall,
patch of crumbling mortar:
roots take hold,
space fills
so greenery, sprinkled
with pointed bells
of blue campanula
spills
over:
contrasting blast of colour cover.

Isn't it amazing how nature can take over the strangest places? You can sow flower seeds in the garden and find they come up in the most unusual cracks.
We have chives flowering in the cracks on our patio, it started off with my partner potting some seeds, now there are loads of them coming up in crevices, so pretty are the flowers and delicious in salads.
This great poem shows that nature will survive long after we're gone. I love the photo too.

A tiny poem but a lovely picture of the campanula with its blue bells. You have used economy cleverly!
