The Imaginers

Our feet are an anchor
for thoughts that carry us away
from a world held down by gravity.
Our minds sprout wings
taking us on imaginary flights
seen by the inner eye
as real as looking at life.
The world of imagination
is the whole of creation
we visit at any time.

I completely agree with your
I completely agree with your words in this poem. To encourage children to inspire their imaginations as they grow older is one of the best gifts, it can take them anywhere their spirit wants to go.
I wish many children could read this poem and be encouraged.

It fascinates me that
It fascinates me that children can be so clear in their mind of what is 'pretend' and what is 'real'. My 'nearly-three' year-old grandchild has such imaginative play muttering to herself and to me though her speech is very unclear to understand!
It's nice to think of 'visiting' those places we can't go to any more. Rhiannon
