Goldenrod and Wild Aster

Beeshine in low croon
across mist light and meadow,
hare of earth, keen-eared and leery,
we watch,
as the sun spreads sky
over honeystems, cottonhearts,
the peace of dew, gentle
morning, and I, perhaps,
the last woman.
The painting is called Meadow Flowers (Goldenrod and Wild Aster) by John Twachtman, c.1892.

Every man wants her to be
Every man wants her to be his first love, a woman is more subtle she wants to be his last.
Practical! Good luck for the last woman! Tom
