The shells of life

She walks upon the path on the shells of life.

Should she deviate from the path?

 

She extends one foot at a time,

the shells crunch beneath her bitter bare soul.

 

Her feet bloody, her toes cold

she hops onto a new path,

a smoother path, a path that cushions her body

and fills her with warmth.

 

Is this the path she should have been on from day one?

No one can tell. Life is a lottery,

sometimes we need to walk over rough shells

to get to the ideal path!

 

It hurts but she’s trying!

Hi again Monodemo. I'm afraid the picture you've used has been incorrectly labelled on Pixabay. The person who put it there didn't check properly and has lifted. lots of images which aren't free to use. Not your fault, but could you please remove asap and we suggest in future that you choose somewhere other than Pixabay to get your pics. It doesn't seem very reliable. I use flckr myself - thay have some great stuff!

if viewing profile is unlocked on flckr does that mean i can use it?

I don't know about viewing profile. I usually go to the search box, type in what I want, and then filter the results to free to use/Creative Commons. Hope that works for you!
