The Wishing Time On Singing Lake

Let us go now while we are still innocent and catch some dreams

in a curragh boat on singing lake and lap up the sunbeams  .

We can stay a while and listen to the music of the lake.

Time stands quite still there so it doesn’t matter how long you take .

We can pour tea into buttercups and swallow marshmallows .

and have a chuckle with all the lakes funny little fellows  .

There are fiery butterflies who chase away the pickpockets

from the inside of their multicoloured cocoon shaped space rockets .

On singing lake we can wait for the swans to return again    

from the sky path with golden eggs for everybody who came .

Out on the lake we can wait until our wishes are granted  

and then you and I can have everything we ever wanted .
