Negative Feedback From eBay.

A few days ago, there was an earthquake in two countries. At first, we were told that, “Hundreds of people had died.” It was a shock, also that, “Hundreds had been injured.”
Then the death toll had risen to two thousand, that is a lot of people.
I didn’t see the news, but I was told, “A newborn baby was taken out alive!”
Then the death toll went up to a staggering twelve thousand. That amount is SO hard to comprehend.
Sixty-seven people went from United Kingdom, with specialist equipment and rescue dogs to help.
After many days, the news said, “All the voices are now silent.”
This morning from the Washington Post and Reuters, the death toll is twenty-one thousand.
When the earthquake first happened, I thought of those who were young, old, disabled, fighting cancer, pregnant, blind, deaf, visiting for the day or on holiday.
I do wonder how they come to that figure of twenty-one thousand, I think of those who were also refugees there.
Over the years whenever there is a disaster, amongst other things, after the initial shock, I think of those who are around the world, waiting for their items that they have paid for and ordered. After, many emails, with no response back, and no item delivered, they get a refund from the Company, then the customer leaves a negative feedback.

An awful tragedy! I think we knew the final figures were going to be a lot higher given that they are just counting the bodies. When we see the pictures and hear the detailed stories it brings the cruelty of this disaster closer to us. The response by volunteers and donations reminds us that people do care, which is heartwarming.
