Forecast for today calls for
a chill of 4 degrees F
but I know Summer’s
on the way-
see & feel from
a park bench I sit upon.
The creek below gurgles
for attention as it
swirls around mounds
of rock & uncovered
wrappers yet to be picked up
for a clean environment.
Through the glaze
of stream’s surface I can see
my childhood-
inside a prism of ecstasy
& a life of natural
causes.

That last line of your poem

That last line of your poem is exactly how I feel. I love the idea of seeing childhood in prism of ecstacy
A soulful, beautiful poem to read.
Jenny.
