pleasing the chime
of rhythm and rhyme.

Concisely composed
a message that’s structured,
subtle its echoes
carefully sculptured

Highlights for memory,
stays in the brain
lilting and lifting
song and refrain.

Good. Thank you for letting me know! Some Welsh poetry is very highly structured with complex repeated sequences of consanants etc, which has made me interested in the reason for, and usefulness of, structure in verse to help conveying a simple message memorably! If it is not forced. Rhiannon

A pleasing poem Rhiannon. How I wish I'd studied more in music. If music be the food of love, play on: as Shakespeare once quoted.

I loved those lines:-

Patterns of sound

music of words

pleasing the chime

of rhythm and rhyme

 

So uplifting to read.
