[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
Pilate was frightened to do what he knew,
knew was the just and the right thing to do.
Pity that Pilate did not find out who,
who this man was who was holy and true.
Who is this King
who suffers for sin?
Dies to atone
for sins not his own;
causing surprise –
his words were so wise:
worship him, Saviour, King.
The priests and the people did not give much thought
to what Jesus did, and the words that he taught;
and Pontius Pilate was puzzled, for why
didn’t he fight them or angrily cry?
Tune of ‘I am so glad that my Father in heaven’

innocent blood
It is interesting how Pontius Pilate excused himself from blame of spilling innocent blood, but he could have stopped it. I get the idea he knew that Jesus was “King of the Jews” similar to Herod with Jesus's birth murdering of all baby boys. By the way there is another Herod in the book of “Acts” he came to an ugly end I think.
Good poem! But Rhiannon I am not familiar with the word “Quandary”?
Have a good week! Ice is nice stay cool! Nolan &

hot summer
I hear you have another hot summer record temperatures and all. We've had snow in places it doesn't snow, waiting for the next cold front on its way.
Keep well & Nolan
