In A Place Of Respite

In forest dream, I draw on
such sensations, my world
suspended between sky and
earth; where tiny insects
crawl, some fly to unhurried
silence,
visible above are balmy
clouds that seem to peek;
presence tranquil...floating,
as I along this trail with
deep respect maintain my
thoughts; only distracted
by clear birdsong.
Further on I carry constant
attachment to green forest
vegetation, ferns share their
wisdom of endurance, my
tensions and worries to
wither in tangle of ivy...or
caught in gossamer webs.
Along with me the sky shall
gaze upon those bark tree
faces that appear to kiss
white billows, while
branches cradle offshoots.
I ponder! Will leaves in
autumn descend – shaken
from their core and blown;
will it be their final journey
to a place of rest, or just a
respite before awakening again?
A question we all would wish to know.
Photos my own.

Looking at the interweaving
Looking at the interweaving green tangles can be very relaxing and soothing of tensions. Interesting that you can dream such!
As for awakening from our bodies' failing we are given the answer. In John chapter 5 in the Bible Jesus speaks of the dead being called out in the future (veres28,29), and the rest of the chapter and the whold Bible makes clear that where it distinguishes between 'those who have done good' with 'those who have done evil' that particularly includes our attitude to his offer now, before that time, of eternal life and forgiveness of the wrongs we have done, washing. Great words Jenny. So
Great words Jenny. So descriptive of times I spend in woodland.
I always look for the respite before awakening again. It always happens. It always brings a smile to my face in the spring.
Lovely words, Good on you.

'ditto Celt'.....
His compliment encompasses everything I wanted to express.....
I would add..... I can feel a refreshing, reinvigorating, reliving, almost therapeutic cool breeze as I read it several times + I see faces in tree bark too......
Thx Jenn*
