A Special Day

Hello folks, my name is Louie,
an adopted, and adorable, cat.
Sure that I am of noble birth,
I consider myself an aristocrat.

Some people think that a mog
is like a fascinating plaything
but not my owners who treat
their favourite pet like a king.

They give me delicious food
whenever I let out a mew
though it's dependent on me
to give them a timely clue.

Sometimes I'm out all night
but return home at dawn
to tell them I left my prey
on their immaculate lawn.

Now you see me relaxing
after hunting but “Hey,
don't I deserve some rest
on International Cat Day?”
