  –  via the cover of Vogue –                                                                                
    to framing the shots inside.

Paris I

Man Ray’s muse:
  Americans In Paris;
    Rayographs – not Leeshots.

London I

More fashion shoots:
  the other side of the camera;
    Vogue-ing London girls.

London II

Blitz bombed city,:
  a piano under rubble;
     not so far from Dada.

St Malo

A stylish empty boot:
  a belt for ammunition;
    not from Coco Chanel.   

Rennes

Head shaved, eyes down;
  a woman who "consorted";
    waiting for the verdict.
 
Paris II

Open city, open sesame;
  celebrating children,
    atop a bombed-out Citroën.

Dachau

A corpse floating:
  lightning bolt letters
    glinting on his collar.   

Munich                

In Hitler’s Bathtub:
  no bubbles, no cigarette;
    just irony and a bold stare.

What a shame if it turns out to be bad - maybe it won't?. She was a fascinating woman and the photo in the bathtub is one that's always stuck in my mind - brilliant composition

 which Kate Winslet we get, Titanic or Mare of Easttown. I really want it to be good, but... Hollywood and - though it pains me to say it - virtue signalling.

Fingers crossed for art not hagiography, too.

I must admit I had never heard of the woman until now. But I did a bit of Googling, and ... fascinating!

So I watched a YouTube clip about her life. It fits perfectly with the words of your poem. They have done a good job!

 we got the newspapers delivered every day; which ones they were,changed depending on who the House Master was. When I first arrived it was the Telegraph and the Mail, which was still a broadsheet then, though not much less right wing. By 1977, after a boarders' vote, we still got the Telegraph - because the sports reporting was very good (and it was) - but we got the Guarniad too.
I ALWAYS read the obituaries in the Telegraph. That's where I first heard of Lee Miller. Down in the school library there was a - coffee table, I suppose you'd call it now - book of Lee Miller's work. When I found out she'd been mixed up with the surrealists in Paris between the wars, well that was it for me, the start of a fascination that has endured.

Anyway, that's why I'm afraid that the film will be poor, but hoping that it isn't.

I'll look forward to hearing what you think of the film when it comes out. It's unlikely that it'll be shown where we live. They have some English language films at our local cinema but they tend to be all that Disney or super hero nonsense.

By sheer fluke they showed The Banshees of Inisherin there but, by an even bigger / sheerer fluke, we were on holiday in Mayo at the time, staying in a place only a few kilometres from where the film was made.

Any road, I'll keep an eye out and I hope it is what you're hoping for.
